Inconel 625 pipe is a nickel-based high-performance alloy containing nickel, chromium, molybdenum and niobium. The material demonstrates excellent high-temperature strength, good oxidation resistance and outstanding resistance to a wide range of corrosive media, making it a leading choice for aerospace, energy and chemical-process applications. Molybdenum and niobium provide solid-solution strengthening of the nickel matrix, chromium enhances resistance to chloride attack, and the high nickel content resists chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The pipe is also used in offshore oil and gas hardware, sour-service piping, flue-gas desulfurization systems and seawater applications where conventional stainless grades fall short on durability.
